LESLIE FALCONER PRESENTS SESSION AT ASSOCIATION OF SMALL
FOUNDATIONS 2006 NATIONAL CONFERENCE
TRAVERSE CITY, MICH, NOVEMBER 15, 2006 – Falconer Group Principal Leslie Falconer presented a seminar entitled “Involving Children in Philanthropy: First Steps in a Life-Long Journey of Giving” at the Association of Small Foundations National Conference October 27-28 in New Orleans.
The session dealt with how to involve children in giving, which can help prepare them for future foundation involvement, connect them to their communities, and help them gain financial literacy.
The event was attended by leaders of many independent U.S. foundations ranging in size from $1 million to $50 million in assets.
In addition to her role at Falconer Group, Ms. Falconer is also founder of FLY (Financially Literate Youth). She has a degree in education and experiences in curriculum development. She has also completed training at the Institute for Life Coaching and is a member of International Coach Federation (ICF), and is licensed by Money, Meaning, and Choices Institute in the Life and Wealth Planning System. Ms. Falconer is author of numerous financial literacy programs and workbooks and has led youth financial literacy events throughout the nation.
